Who we are
The Story
Our nation’s government was founded on the radical idea that "We the People" could govern ourselves without the divisive influence of permanent political factions. The Constitution was written before the creation and influence of political parties. These factions began to gain traction during Washington’s second term, causing him great distress—so much so that "The Father of the Nation" warned of future peril should party loyalty become normalized within our governance.
Today, that original party-free design is often obscured by partisan noise. Washington’s warnings now read like a checklist of observable problems in our modern government. The Angry Father Foundation exists to remind us that the Constitution remains free of political party language. We aim to peel back the rhetoric and re-introduce the public to the non-partisan brilliance of the U.S. Constitution.
Our Mission
The Angry Father Foundation is a 501(c)(3) educational foundation dedicated to teaching the non-partisan nature of the United States Constitution and the historical writings of George Washington. We believe that by understanding the "Farewell Address" warnings against party spirit, modern citizens can find a path toward a more unified and independent civic life.
What We Do
Increase Public Knowledge: We leverage the Federalist Papers, the records of the Constitutional Convention, and the journals of George Washington to teach that our country was founded on a government led by merit, not party loyalty.
Non-Partisan Literacy for Modern Times: We provide historical context for current events, placing them alongside the Founders' original fears of "factions" to show how the Constitution transcends the modern party system.
Avenues for Independence: We research and educate the public on the historical and legal structures that support independent civic participation, empowering citizens to engage with their government as individuals rather than as partisans. We believe that an informed citizenry is the greatest safeguard of our Constitution. We encourage every American to view their civic participation—through informed voting and community support—as a vital investment in a return to a non-partisan future George Washington hoped would prevail.
Who we aren’t
At The Angry Father Foundation, we believe that the only way to honor George Washington’s legacy is to operate with the same fierce independence he championed. To protect our educational mission and remain a trusted resource for all Americans, we strictly adhere to the following principles of what we are not:
We are not a political platform. We do not endorse, support, or oppose any political party or any candidate seeking public office. Our allegiance is to the Constitution, not a caucus.
We are not an "Action" organization. We do not engage in lobbying, nor do we attempt to influence specific legislation. Our work is to inform people, not to pull the levers of power.
We are not a campaign arm. We will never donate foundation funds, resources, or mailing lists to any political committee, PAC, or candidate.
We are not a partisan filter. We do not "rank" or "rate" current politicians or candidates based on their party affiliation. We provide the historical yardstick; we leave it to the individual citizen to do the measuring.
We are not a voice for division. While we share the "Angry Father’s" concern for the state of our union, our goal is improving discourse through restoration of independent thinking over partisan dogma, not further stoking of partisan resentment.
